What is a TSB?

A TSB, or technical service bulletin, is a manufacturer communication to its dealers. It is not a safety recall. NHTSA's TSBS dictionary, dated in the file notes as September 25, 2026, says those downloads were renamed Manufacturer Communications and are split into five-year files. This site does not publish them: the zip names were not verified.

A recall in NHTSA's recall flat file is a campaign with a campaign number, a defect description, and a remedy. Those campaigns are what the model year pages count. A TSB can describe a repair that is not a recall. Treating a bulletin as if it were a recall would mix two different records.

NHTSA describes manufacturer communications separately from recalls. The recall side of this site starts from the flat files linked on the methodology page. Until a Manufacturer Communications download name is confirmed, there is no TSB count here, and no page will imply one.
